  If your child is “typical”, then you’ll probably be satisfied with the care at Valley Pediatrics. However, if you have the slightest inclination that your child has any special needs, there are other practices who will better guide you on your journey. The doctors at Valley are very limited in their thinking and strictly follow AAP guidelines, which is great for the typical child, but there’s a whole world of opportunity out there to potentially help your special needs child. At the very least, this practice should recognize when additional intervention is necessary and provide you with a roadmap, as well as a list of local specialists to get you started, but they don’t. When you have a question, the snarkiness of the nursing staff will push your buttons immediately. Thankfully a conversation with my coworker about their special needs child opened my eyes to the care that’s available in our area – we’re now seeing a local specialist and making great strides. In the end, you are your child’s best advocate, so choose their pediatrician wisely. PS - the front desk staff are wonderful and very responsive, so I will give two stars.
